‘Lost’ producer to direct ‘Star Trek’ movie
Lost producer J.J. Abrams is set to direct the next Star Trek movie. First reported by Variety, the plot will center on the early days James T. Kirk and Mr. Spock, including their first meeting at Starfleet Academy and first outer space mission.
This is great news for fans. It seemed the Trek franchise was dead with the cancellation of Star Trek: Enterprise. The hiring of the Lost team also seems to mark the end of longtime producer Rick Berman’s association with Star Trek.
