My hometown is the subject of a San Francisco Chronicle story about American League MVP Dustin Pedroia, who grew up in Woodland, too.
I’m just a bit older the Pedroia, so I was long gone by the time he was coming up. And according to the story, Matt Damon, a big Red Sox fan, paid a visit to Woodland to see where his team’s MVP grew up. Anyway, it’s just weird seeing my little town in the news.
